The fee is $25, and there is no fee at all for a hazardous tree once a certified tree expert has certified it with photographs. Two exemptions matter most to homeowners: three trees in any 36 months can come off a residential property without replacement, and any tree whose trunk sits within 15 feet of the main house is exempt. Trees already brought down by a storm are exempt too.
